8,000 mcd* LED can be used for all kinds of lighting. It is very
efficient and runs at 3.0 VDC @ 20 milliamp max.
Current limiting series resistor formula:
vIN - vLED / 20 milliamp = series current limiting resistor.
((5V - 3V) / 0.020) = 100 Ohm series resistor for a 5V supply.
((6V - 3V) / 0.020) = 150 Ohm series resistor for a 6V supply.
((9V - 3V) / 0.020) = 300 Ohm series resistor for a 9V supply.
((12V - 3V) / 0.020) = 450 Ohm series resistor for a 12V supply. |

Current limiting series
resistor formula:

LEDs are static sensitive,
use static handling precautions.

If you are driving several LEDs,
you must use a separate series resistor for each LED. Each LED
must have it's own current limiting series resistor.
