Beacons has been used around the world for all types of industrial/commercial applications requiring a 2-mile strobe light. Ideal for use on navigation, research and mooring buoys, channel and hazard markers, and marinas and docks, they can produce over 200 flash patterns - virtually any flash pattern required in the world today.

Technology

Using an array of ultrabright LEDs (light emitting diodes), the 601 emits approximately four times the light output of Carmanah's Model 501, resulting in about two times the range of visibility. The 601 has been used around the world for all types of industrial/commercial applications include, from aids to navigation, on buoys, and on industrial/commercial facilities such as piers, wharves, pilings, and aquaculture facilities.

The 601 features sophisticated microprocessor intelligence that:

• Enables the unit to be programmed via an optional infrared remote control to emit one of over 200 unique flash codes, including all codes recognized by IALA
• Ensures that the light emits precisely controlled flash rates
• Offers advanced light output and battery power management
• Turns the light on and off automatically

The Beacons are available in five colors that meet international chromaticity requirements.
