...the new ProStar has a simple way to eliminate any
interference on telecom equipment��.
Certain sensitive telecom equipment (radios) will produce noise
during PWM regulation. Sometimes improved system grounding will
eliminate the noise, and thus the significant
benefits
of PWM charging can be retained.
If the noise continues, however, simply remove the ProStar's
plastic cover and cut the telecom jumper (see ProStar Operator's
Manual for further details). This will convert the PWM charging
to an "on-off" type of regulation and eliminate any noticeable
noise.
In this "on-off" mode, the ProStar's digital accuracy,
temperature compensation, equalization and float features will
continue, thus providing an efficient battery charging
methodology
