The SQF submersible pump and Southwest Windpower's
Whisper H80 are integrated into the SQFlex Wind
system, an ideal water pumping package for remote
sites that have no access to grid power. Depending
on average wind speeds, SQFlex Wind system can
supply you with up to 40,000 gallons of water per
day (1700 gallons / hour). Unlike old fashion
mechanical windmills that require installation
directly over the well, the SQFlex Wind allows you
to place the wind turbine in the best wind location
up to several hundred meters away.
What makes the SQFlex ideal is the maintenance. Just an annual inspection is
all that is required. And, installation is just as easy. Either use an existing
windmill tower to mount the H-80 or the Whisper Tower.
There are no batteries, just a few Simple components which include pump, breaker
box and wind turbine. Optional components are the CU 200 combined control and
status unit that offers indication of a full water reservoir, pump operation and
input power. Furthermore, it indicates operational stoppage in case of dry
running, service needs or insufficient energy supply.
